Halcrow is a leading consultancy providing services to the nuclear industry. We have considerable expertise in the design management and engineering of nuclear facility decommissioning, waste management and new build facilities.

 We are actively developing this capability and aligning our business closely to that of our major clients, enabling us to provide Tier 2 nuclear consultancy services.

Candidates should be highly motivated, with a desire to succeed and be aware of our clients business needs.  You should demonstrate a logical approach to problem solving, possess good communication skills and be commercially aware.  You will be qualified to degree level (or equivalent) in an engineering or science discipline and ideally be working towards Chartered Engineer / Scientist status.

Halcrow is particularly interested in individuals or small groups who wish to support Halcrow on a temporary or consultancy basis. Our Nuclear Associates programme enables suppliers of specialist skills increased access to opportunities and strengthens the skillbase that Halcrow offers to clients. Arrangements are highly flexible and are designed to suit your circumstances.

Nuclear career opportunities within Halcrow

We are keen to hear from individuals with relevant experience in the following broad disciplines:

Mechanical engineers - A good engineering degree, minimum two years broad technical or process engineering experience, and previous site experience.

Structural engineers - Broad UK design office experience, previous UK nuclear or other highly regulated UK industry experience, and an understanding of relevant legislative standards.

Nuclear safety engineers - Experience gained within a nuclear safety environment and a demonstrable understanding of current nuclear safety legislation.

Project managers – Experienced multidisciplinary project managers, ideally from the nuclear, utility, gas, petrochemical or rail sectors.  Candidates should be degree qualified.

We are also extremely interested in receiving applications from individuals with previous experience gained within a utility, gas, oil or chemical environment.

Due to the nature of the industry in which we work, the majority of these opportunities will require the ability to attain an appropriate level of security clearance.
