Traffic and revenue advice to the PPP transportation sector.

Halcrow has developed an excellent reputation amongst the international investment community for producing robust, reliable and bankable traffic and revenue forecasts. This, coupled with our wealth of experience and knowledge of the PPP process, puts us in a strong position to provide the best advice to PPP participators, whatever their background. We specialise in toll road modelling, investment grade forecasts, risk analysis and benchmarking.

Our approach to investment grade forecasting addresses many of the concerns lenders have regarding transport forecasts that are reliant on models alone and comprises the following features:

  • understanding from the study outset where the major revenue risks lie and focussing efforts in those key areas
  • employing advanced modelling techniques that focus on accuracy rather than complexity
  • undertaking benchmarking to compare modelling outputs with independent common-sense approaches
  • a thorough programme of sensitivity tests and risk analysis; and if required developing specific probability forecasts

Our recent clients include government bodies in the UK, USA and Canada as well as private sector clients in the international PPP market including Macquarie, Cintra, Vinci, Bilfinger Berger, Transurban, Hochtief, Bouyges, Mota and SNC Lavalin. In the last five years alone we have undertaken road and LRT projects in the UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Greece, Serbia, USA, Canada, Mexico, Panama, Costa Rica, India, China, Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Australia and South Africa.
