We provide a wide variety of inspection and surveying services including:

  • above water and underwater structural evaluation of waterfront structures
  • bridge inspections
  • hydrographic and sub-bottom profile surveying
  • potable and firewater tank inspections
  • marina facility assessments
  • rappelling inspections of dams and towers
  • subaqueous pipeline and outfall inspections
  • underwater design and build projects
  • waterfront building evaluations
  • roadway sign inspections
  • inspection of mechanical handling equipment and power supplies
  • asset valuation inspections

Following inspection and assessment, Halcrow can draw up proposals for repair and rehabilitation schemes tailored to the particular needs of each client. Our designs place a high emphasis on buildability, cost certainty, robustness and durability in the marine environment, ease of maintenance and operational efficiency.

Halcrow has the benefit of an in-house Materials Technology Unit, which can take an independent view of the products and techniques available in the marketplace to develop the most appropriate solution for each structure, taking into account access, ongoing operations, future design life and budget.

In addition to traditional concrete repairs, Halcrow can advise on electrochemical repair and protection techniques such as cathodic protection.
