Halcrow has made a crucial new appointment within the Edinburgh office as it expands the economic and business solutions team.
Dr Caroline Currie joins Halcrow as a senior economist from Grant Thornton, where she specialised in the higher education sector. A former lecturer in economics and statistics at the University of the South Pacific in Fiji, Dr Currie will be responsible for assisting Halcrow as it continues to grow and develop its work in the renewable energy and skills and learning sectors.
Jamie Baxter, regional director for Halcrow said: “We are delighted to have someone of Caroline’s experience join our team and I’m confident that she will be a great asset to us moving forward. “
Her extensive background in the education sector is definitely something we are keen to utilise, as is her knowledge of economics and statistics.”
Dr Currie said: “I am looking forward to working alongside a great team here within Halcrow and developing our work within the education and renewable sectors.
“Both areas show fantastic potential for growth and I am keen for Halcrow to get more involved in developing niche skills which will allow us to continually improve and expand upon our expertise in these areas.”
