We are pleased to announce the appointment of Halcrow to undertake the Landside Development Framework. The Framework will be an important part of our Airport Master Plan which is being updated this year.

Glasgow Airport has appointed Halcrow to produce a Landside Development Framework to co-ordinate the future strategic development of the airport campus.

Halcrow’s team will consider a range of planning, environmental, property market and infrastructure issues to produce a practical development and framework for growth up to 2040.

Ross Nimmo, planning and development manager at Glasgow Airport said:

“We are pleased to announce the appointment of Halcrow to undertake the Landside Development Framework.  The Framework will be an important part of our Airport Master Plan which is being updated this year.”

Glasgow Airport currently handles over seven million passengers per annum, it connects to over 90 destinations around the world and there are more than 100 companies based on the airport campus employing nearly 5,000 people.

Grant Byars, Halcrow’s project manager said:

“The framework will provide a focus for identifying development potential at the airport and the opportunities for wider economic benefits in the Glasgow region.  This is an important project for Glasgow Airport and an exciting opportunity for Halcrow. ”

Halcrow will be assisted by Ryden.
