Halcrow’s Jo Cullis will be presenting a paper at the upcoming international science conference – European GeoSciences Union – General Assembly 2010.
Held at the Austria Center Vienna in May, the conference will bring together geoscientists from all over the world, covering all disciplines of the earth sciences.
Principal environmental consultant Jo will speak in the hydrological sciences section of the programme, under the session title “Management and restoration impacts on runoff regimes, water quality and ecosystem services”. Her topic: selecting multi-objective land management measures in the Ripon catchment.
“I believe strongly that projects and research should have a clear practical application and that good practice developed should be disseminated and shared widely and effectively,” Jo explained. “The Ripon Multi Objective Project is a great example of such a project – the ultimate aim was to guide and promote good practice on the ground, something that has now started in earnest.”
Jo commented: “This is a great opportunity to promote some of Halcrow's innovative, yet very practical work in the field of sustainable flood risk and land management. It also offers a rare opportunity to network with international contacts in this field and promote our brand to a wider range of potential clients and project partners.”
