Six Halcrow Yolles projects have received recognition by the Ontario Masonry Contractors’ Association at its 2010 Ontario Masonry Design Awards.

Held at Toronto’s Liberty Grand Hotel, the awards recognise architects, engineers, owners, masonry contractors and environmental design consultants for the substantial, imaginative and creative use of masonry in building design and construction. Halcrow Yolles provided structutral engineering services and played a pivotal role in the delivery of this year’s winners.

Provincial winners:

Architectural design, commercial: Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts, Toronto.

Modernist design: Mississauga Central Library, Ontario

Provincial - honorable mention:

Environmental design: McMaster University David Braley Athletic Centre, Hamilton, Ontario.

Ontario east - honorable mention:

Architectural design - commercial: K-Rock Centre, Kingston, Ontario.

Ontario central - winner:

Restoration design: The Royal Conservatory of Music Telus Centre for Performance and Learning, Toronto.

Ontario west - honorable mention

Architectural design, commercial: Niagara Fallsview Casino, Fallsview, Ontario.
