Faculty and students at prestigious Canadian university, Queens, recently marked a red-letter day with the opening of the new Queen’s Centre. Made possible in part by the largest commitment by a student group in Canadian history, this multi-purpose complex will house athletic, recreational, academic and student life facilities, the facility embodies the holistic learning approach of developing mind, body and spirit and that forms the essence of the Queens experience.
Halcrow Yolles provided structural engineering services for the project which, as the largest construction project in the university’s history will more than double the institution’s current athletic facilities and will create a hub of activity at the heart of the campus.
