Halcrow has been shortlisted for the International Tunnelling Awards 2011.
New Civil Engineer (NCE) in partnership with sister title, Ground Engineering, is hosting the awards, which will take place on Thursday 1 December in Hong Kong.
The judging took place at the Tunnelling Twenty20 Conference and the shortlist was announced on Friday 23 September.
In recognition of the company’s broad experience, capabilities and global reach, Halcrow has been shortlisted in the Tunnel Designer of the Year and Tunnel Advisor of the Year categories.
Editor of NCE, Antony Oliver said: “The awards are designed specifically to celebrate and reward the outstanding work and innovation in the global tunnelling industry. Entries are open to any project, individual, product or supplier in the market who can demonstrate innovation and achievement over the last 12 months.
The categories once again reflect the fact that tunnelling projects require the involvement and collaboration of clients, designers, project managers, contractors, specialist consultants and sub-contractors, plant manufacturers, materials suppliers and product manufacturers. Celebration and recognition will be shared across the whole industry”.
