May 2011

On 24 May 2011, Halcrow’s headquarters, known as Elms House was a finalist at the British Council of Offices Regional Awards 2011 for London and the south-east of England.

The awards recognise top-quality design and functionality, celebrating innovation and examples of best practice in workplaces.

From over 120 awards entries, the Elms House project was one of six finalists shortlisted for the refurbished/recycled workplace award, up against high-profile office buildings and developments across the region, such as the Nomura offices and the Angel Building in London.

Halcrow project director Tony Van Emst said: “It’s a real achievement for our building to be part of these awards and a reflection of the high standard of work that went into the project – by our designer MMoser Associates, our contractors and the project board. I know we will enjoy coming to work in this building for many years to come.”

Full details of the awards can be found on the BCO awards website.
