When London won the right to hold the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the Delivery Partner to the Olympic Delivery Authority sought engineering expertise from Halcrow to manage the design and delivery of infrastructure across the Olympic Park to a very tight schedule.
Halcrow has provided key engineering management, to enable the on-time delivery of the Olympic Park, focusing on the road and utility infrastructure.
Within the Olympic Park, this has included the temporary road network required to enable delivery of the venues, the loop road network for Games-time and the legacy transformation of what will be known as the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park. In addition, Halcrow’s engineers have been managing the adaptations to the roads around the Olympic Park, so that they also provide the connections needed for Olympic Park construction, Games-time and legacy transformation.
