From the initial stages, Halcrow has been providing ongoing support to Glasgow City Council on the development and implementation of Scotland’s largest flood prevention scheme on the White Cart Water, a tributary to the River Clyde.
The £50 million scheme is an ambitious project and a significant milestone in removing the threat of flooding to properties in the south side of Glasgow.
It will reduce the risk of flooding for around 1,750 homes and businesses, providing major long- term benefits to people in the south side of Glasgow. The project will also enable a range of environmental improvements along the White Cart Water corridor.
