Our H&S objectives for 2009

Yearly we set health and safety objectives for the company. For example these might include initiatives to promote awareness, progress reviews or target setting amongst employees.

The transition of Halcrow’s health and safety to a global system during 2007 has seen the team introducing company-wide health and safety objectives, allied to a common goal of constant improvement.

Our safety implementation policy

The company has an integrated quality, safety and environment policy, formulated by the Halcrow group board and issued under the authority of its chief executive. It is implemented through our business manual, Halcrow Integrated Management Systems (HIMS), which specifically targets these services.

H&S Initiatives

Throughout the year, numerous health and safety initiatives are developed the company, to help make safety at work much simpler and an integral part of our employee’s working day, wherever they work in the world.

These include implementation of the company’s global framework and activities inspired by external initiatives, such as the World Day for Safety and Health at Work – an International Labour Organisation campaign to promote good working practices –  and the Health and Safety executive’s European Week for Safety and Health.
