Agha Hasan MEng PEng
Agha Hasan is a senior principal and residential sector leader based in Halcrow’s Toronto office. He specialises in design and management of building structures.
He has more than thirty-five years’ experience in the field of structural engineering. He has worked in several countries and has considerable experience of American, Australian, British, Canadian and European design codes.
Agha has specialised in the planning, non-linear dynamic analysis, and design of reinforced and prestressed concrete tall buildings under wind and seismic effects. He has also worked extensively on long-span concrete and steel structures, environmental structures, industrial buildings, sports stadia and communication towers.
Agha’s recent high-rise projects include:
- Trump International Tower, Toronto
- New Istanbul Tower, Istanbul
- ADNOC Tower, Abu Dhabi
He has completed numerous multi-storey residential buildings in Toronto with the developer Concord Adex and has worked on multiple projects for the Middle Eastern developer EMMAR. He has also worked extensively with the international architectural firm HOK.
He has authored a number of papers on various aspects of structural engineering and has made technical presentations at seminars. He is a joint patent holder in USA, Canada and Europe for an invention relating to use of visco-elastic dampers in tall buildings.
