The embassy complex program included two basement levels approximately 2,300m²; eight levels above-grade comprising the Chancery (approximately 4,000m²), and seven residential levels totalling approximately 2,800m². A penthouse level above the eighth floor serves as a mechanical plant space. The structure is generally framed in reinforced concrete and most floors are framed as flat slabs or plates. The buildings are laterally restrained by reinforced concrete shear walls. A mat foundation supports shear and foundation walls as well as discrete columns. Structural steel is confined to localized areas including the mechanical penthouse roof and ground floor canopies.
