Neil joined Halcrow in 1998 and the Halcrow board in 2000.

A banker with more than 20 years' experience in corporate and international finance, Neil was previously commercial director for the Royal Agricultural College, where he was responsible for the college's commercial consultancy and farming business. He also lectured in corporate finance.

He joined Halcrow in January 1998 to head the company's rural management division, a unit specialising in food,

agriculture and rural development. A year later he was appointed managing director of Halcrow Business Solutions - a commercially based business consultancy providing support for business and organisations engaged in infrastructure development and management.

Following the group's restructuring in 2001, he assumed responsibility for the company's consulting business group providing services in environment, transport planning, development planning, economics and business analysis. He is also the board member with specific responsibility for development and implementation of Halcrow's business principles and strategic relationship development programmes.

Neil's international experience covers sub-Saharan Africa, south east Asia, North America.
