About the Halcrow Foundation

The Halcrow Foundation’s vision is to bring tangible and sustainable improvements to the lives of people in need by mobilising the goodwill and expertise of Halcrow employees and people associated with the company or the charity.

It aims to alleviate poverty and suffering around the world caused by natural disaster or as a result of people’s social and economic conditions. It does this through the development of education, health and other social services, the improvement of transport infrastructure, water supplies and other communal facilities and the promotion of self help activities.

Having been operational since January 2005, the Halcrow Foundation gained charitable status in the UK on 9 August 2006. It is registered charity number 1115729.

Halcrow donates one per cent of its annual profits to the foundation, as well as making a significant contribution in terms of people’s time and its resources. Halcrow’s employees also raise funds through a range of activities, such as sponsored walks, raffles and cake sales, as well as donating money directly.
