Q. When is the deadline for graduate applications?
A. Halcrow does not have a deadline, we recruit all year round.
Q. How soon can I expect a response once I submit my application form?
A. You can expect to hear from Halcrow within a month.
Q. Do I have to fill in an application form or can I just submit my CV?
A. Please complete the application form, register your details and attach to the vacancy you are interested in.
Q. Will Halcrow consider candidates who require work permits?
A. Yes
Q. What are the entry requirements?
A. A relevant degree
Q. What other skills will you be looking for?
A. Dependant on the position you are being considered for, candidates are expected to have good communication skills, have the ability to problem solve and be able to think outside the box. Flexibility is a must and mostly we want you to be focused and enthusiastic.
Q. Within which disciplines do you offer graduate positions?
A. Please refer to the Business Group section located on the front of the graduate pages for more information on the disciplines within Halcrow.
Q. How many graduates do you recruit?
A. In 2008 we are recruiting around 170 graduates across the business
Q. What will happen on the assessment day?
A. Our assessment days give you the opportunity to find out more about Halcrow and meet our teams. The day will consist of a one to one interview, a group exercise and a technical exercise.
Q. Where can I find out about the experience of graduates at Halcrow?
A. Our current graduates have completed video and written testimonials so that you can get a better idea of what it would be like to work at Halcrow along with the career and training opportunities.
Q. Does Halcrow offer relocation assistance?
A. We offer a golden hello payment which would assist with relocation.
Q. What training and development do you offer graduates?
A. Support is available for when you want to work towards a further qualification and chartership. We have a well established mentoring programme and a comprehensive training programme.
Q. What benefits do you offer graduates?
A. 24 days holiday, flexible working, competitive salaries, joining payment, contributory pension, private medical cover and a range of flexible benefits.
Q. Where will I be based?
A. Depends on the role and your preferred location but we have over 30 UK offices.
Q. Are there opportunities to work abroad?
A. Yes, we have 70 offices world wide
