Due to continued growth and development, an exciting opportunity has arisen for focussed and driven Principal Environmental Scientists/Engineers to join our fast paced Environment Team in our Bucharest or regional city Office.
Key Role Objective
The principal function of this role is to provide team leadership in the delivery of environment consultancy services to the public and private sector in Romania.
Key responsibilities
Priorities in these roles:
- Provide sound commercial and technical project management leadership;
- Provide advanced technical inputs in own particular area of expertise;
- Manage contract and client relationships;
- Liasing with both internal and external bilingual personnel;
- Ensuring operations are processed within Romanian environmental regulations;
- Mentoring other staff and sharing your own expertise within the team;
- Contribute to business development strategies for the team.
Key Requirements
Ideal candidates would likely possess a first degree in environmental science, engineering or related earth science with a relevant higher degree or other postgraduate qualification, and in addition; be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
- Evidence of a substantial technical knowledge in chosen main subject and a broader knowledge and understanding of major environmental issues;
- Knowledge of Romanian environmental regulations, particularly relating to own specific technical expertise;
- Proven experience within the private and/or public sectors and recent good project management achievements;
- Good communication skills with the ability to work with external and internal personnel at all levels of seniority;
- Fluency in Romanian and good English language skills.
The position will involve extensive travel throughout Romania so the ability and willingness to travel is a must as is a valid driving licence without restriction.
