Chief residential engineer, maritime, Freeport, Bahamas, ref: IRC4758
The Freeport Container Port Phase V project is about to go into the construction phase.
The Client has asked Halcrow to put together a team to supervise this US $250M project.
The work is scheduled to start in July 2008 with an 18 month construction period.
Essence of role - key accountabilities
The scope of work includes:
- 500m of new quay
- a 13Ha container yard
- electrical services for 6 Super Post Panamax Quay Cranes
Job requirements
Technical / professional experience to include:
- extensive experience of administering a FIDIC contract and general contract administration
- experience in heavy civil engineering works including at experience overseas
- experience of site supervision work, preferably with marine construction but general heavy civil works will be considered
- experience of maritime engineering design would be of benefit
- previous work with Hutchison Port Holdings (the client) is desirable but not essential
- a good command of English is as well as a highly motivated, flexible approach
