Role purpose
Maritime Business Group of an international engineering and consulting firm The principal function of this position is to perform civil engineering analysis and design of marine facilities.with projects worldwide including the planning, design, and construction supervision of large ports and terminals.
We require an civil engineer to work at a new location in Virginia Beach, VA
Essence of role – key accountabilities
The priorities of this role include structural analysis and design of maritime related structures including:
- Pier/wharf design
- Bulkhead design
- Berthing and mooring analyses
- Preparation of construction specifications
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Report preparation
Job requirements
Technical / professional expertise
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
- Experience working on marine and terminal projects
- Traffic analysis and design
- Geotechnical analysis and design
- Work well on a team
- Experience with AutoCAD preferred.
Essential: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
Desirable: Marine engineering experience
