Role purpose
Support the growth of the north America coastal engineering and planning practice.
Essence of role – key accountabilities
The principal function of this position is to serve the north America coastal team as a junior engineer, scientist, planner.
Job requirements
Technical / professional expertise
The priorities of this role include:
- serving as a staff engineer, scientist, or planner working with a team of coastal/maritime specialists
- the ability to speak, read and write coherently in English. Multi-fluency is a plus
- higher level candidates should have the ability to mange individual tasks within projects to include scope, time, and budget.
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
- basic understanding of coastal and oceanographic science
- basic understanding and execution of current numerical modelling practices
- basic understanding and proven expertise in academic area of study
- highest level candidates should have advanced degree and some small project management experience.
Minimum qualifications to include:
- Experience in coastal/maritime field
- Degree in coastal/ocean sciences or engineering preferable
- PE is preferred
