Project / business overview
Water and Power Business Group (WPBG) currently seeks for a Structural Design Engineer in Bucharest. This is subordinated to Water Resources Sector Coordinator and member of the Water Department team of Halcrow Romania SRL, which is collectively responsible for delivering WBG targets for Halcrow in Romania.
Key role objective
The principal function of this position is to coordinates projects as project manager or manager assistant in civil engineering field.
Key areas of responsibility
The priorities of this role include:
- for consultancy and design projects the candidate is responsible with project management, the provision of all written and drawn pieces and their correlation;
- identifies and manages sub consultants and integrates deliverables
- checks compliance with stipulations of Law 10/1995 with amendments and additions regarding quality in civil engineering;
- elaborates and updates project budget;
- for supervision projects the candidate supervises the execution works in accordance with the contract stipulations, project stipulations, terms of reference and technical legal stipulations in force;
- is involved in elaborating the necessary documents for tenders;
- is responsible with managing and implementing the project allotted in all its phases in accordance with the contractual stipulations (design, supervision, decisive phases, technical assistance);
- provides identification, assessment, negotiation with and supervision of the existing;
- subcontractors/sub consultants in the projects allotted;
- represents the company and promotes its interests in relation with potential or current clients and beneficiaries;
- ensures and maintains the company's connections with clients, beneficiaries and collaborators;
- identifies new opportunities in the field of activity;
- goes on site visits depending on the interests of the project the job holder is involved.
Key requirements
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge :
- Desirable experience: work experience: min 3 years;
- experience in marketing/business development/commercial sector would be an advantage;
Minimum qualifications
- university degree in Civil Engineering;
- conversational with public procurement rules and offer elaboration;
- ccomputer literate: minimum MS Office Word and Excel;
- advanced computer skills: ACAD, Civil 3D;
- solid knowledge of English language spoken and written;
- flexible attitude, proactive, team spirit, self motivated;
