Role purpose
This is an exciting opportunity to work in the thriving Middle East engineering sector. We have clients from the public and private sectors and work on projects throughout the Middle East region.
Halcrow’s Water & Power Business Group employs almost 300 people across four offices in the Middle East working on projects ranging from highway drainage schemes to multi-million dollar infrastructure projects, submersible pumping stations to complete waste water treatment plants and much more between.
You will be based in the Water and Power Business Group in the Sharjah office. The office is a 25min drive from Dubai. Dubai is busy holiday resort with year round sunshine. It offers a high standard of living with first class restaurants, schools, beaches and an airport with excellent links to the rest of the world.
Essence of role – key accountabilities
In this role you will be responsible for producing concept, preliminary and detailed designs for a variety of water and wastewater projects.
Key responsibilities will be to;
- produce concept, preliminary and detailed designs to deadline and budget
- follow management systems to ensure effective and efficient delivery of outputs
- produce consistent design drawings and specifications
- liaison with other team members
Job requirements
Technical / professional expertise
The successful candidate should possess a relevant degree and be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience;
- experience of working on water and/or wastewater projects
- experience of working on infrastructure projects would be an advantage
- excellent inter-personal skills
- ability to follow management systems and deliver to time in a structured manner with a quality result
- ability to prioritise work effectively
A relevant degree in engineering.
