Key role objective
The principal function of this position is to:
- Lead the project team in order to meet or exceed the Client, Halcrow management and staff needs and expectations from that commission
- Day-to-day manager of the Halcrow project and ensures that any problems encountered are quickly identified and adequately resolved
- Hold regular meetings with client/client representatives to report progress and raise issues if necessary;
- Responsible for ensuring maximum commercial return for the project.
- To manage the Design and change of design throughout the construction phase to ensure all contractors complete their work in a timely manner.
Key areas of responsibility
The priorities of this role include:
- Understanding what is important for Halcrow and for the Client
- Planning the project inputs and deliverables to meet the requirements of Halcrow and its Clients
- Managing the commercial return to Halcrow
- Appointing and monitoring the performance of their Work Package Managers
- Incorporating the required degree of skill and care
- Managing the project team with the CRE
- Managing the Project Budget
- Managing the interface with third parties
- Managing the Project Forecast
- Managing change control within the Project risk level
- Maintaining the Client relationships by meeting or exceeding their expectations
- Delivering the agreed service delivery requirements (for the Output and parts thereof)
- Complying with Halcrow management requirements and applying best practice
- Clearly specifying any delegations of their authority and ensuring roles are well defined
- Being aware of and acting on business opportunities when they arise on their project.
- Seeking continual improvement and applying and/or adding to corporate knowledge
- Meeting statutory and regulatory requirements
Minimum qualifications
The ideal candidate must have;
- BSc (Eng) & MICE
- In excess of 6 years construction experience
- Experience as a project manager with a consultant;
- Evidence of being able to manage a programme of similar scale and magnitude
