Resident engineer (Civil), highways, Sharjah, UAE
Supervision of work associated with the establishment of infrastructure for new and existing development including roads, services and drainage.
Key role objective
The principal function of this position is to:
- Supervision of contractor
- management of site teams
- reporting to client
- approval of valuations
- monitoring H&S
Key areas of responsibility
The priorities of this role include:
- Ensuring that works are constructed in accordance with the design and contract documentation
- Liaison with the Client and Contractor representatives
- Responsible for delivery of projects to time, budget and quality constraints
- Management of ARE's, Site Engineers and Inspectors
- Preparation of daily, weekly and monthly progress reports
Key requirements
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
- Relevant site supervision experience in Middle East.
- Able to work independently and deal with clients
- Previous experience of working with FIDIC
Minimum qualifications
Engineering Degree (preferably Civil)
