Senior electrical design engineer, building services engineering (MEP), Abu Dhabi, UAE
The Abu Dhabi office currently employs approximately 100 plus multi-disciplined engineers within the business groups.
The successful candidate will enjoy a high profile role within this team to develop the business through excellent design skills. Halcrow have ambitious targets and we need only the best quality people to help us achieve these goals.
Key role objective
Senior Electrical Design Engineer (Property Business Group).
Key areas of responsibility
The priorities of this role include:
- Have a reasonable working knowledge of high voltage ( 11kV ) distribution
- Be conversant with current good design practice and design methods
- Be conversant with current Electrical design software packages
- Be conversant with the requirements of the local standards and be reasonably familiar with the latest Electricity Wiring Regulations for the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.
Key requirements
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge. These points should align with the key areas of responsibility:
- Have a proven track record in leading high quality design projects
- Have a proven track record working with high profile architectural practices and Blue Chip clients
- Be chartered or about to be chartered
- Be an excellent communicator in written, graphical and spoken format
- Be a team player able to motivate people and inspire confidence
- Be an active member of a Professional Institution
- Will have or want to develop a personal Client base
- Have a desire to produce the highest quality work and set standards for the industry
- Be generally familiar and conversant with the requirements for LEED certification
Minimum qualifications
Degree in Electrical Engineering
