Senior highway design engineer, Abu Dhabi, UAE
Project / business overview
Senior Highway design engineers very conversant with MX road. Minimum experience 12 years in road design, coordination with local authorities and service providers. Experiences in the region and Abu Dhabi is a plus.
Key role objective
The principal function of this position is to coordinate the development of highways and utilities infrastructure designs for all major on-going work in ABU Dhabi Office. This will include primary road network design, car park, other access roads, associated infrastructure, , and other client requirements.
Key areas of responsibility
Your priorities in this role will include:
- design guidance, support and advice to the current design team
- coordination of different design inputs to ensure compatibility of highway requirements, drainage requirements and infrastructure development needs
- liaison with clients regarding their requirements
Key requirements
The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge:
- good general highway design skills. Gd 5 engineers would be expected to have a good knowledge of highway design using MX software
- previous junction design knowledge and urban infrastructure design would be advantageous
- ability to deal with client demands
- need to be able to lead a team of junior design engineers
- ability to work under pressure
Minimum qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess a relevant degree.
