Halcrow are a leading consultant in the airports sector in the Middle East with over 40 staff with airport related skills an airfield design capability based in Dubai design Office. We have a substantial role in the development of Abu Dhabi International airport where we have been assisting our Clients to meet their needs for over 15 years.
In the past 3 years the airport has seen a rapid expansion due to the expansion of the Abu Dhabi based airline - Etihad - the National Airline of the United Arab Emirates. Halcrow are currently supervising the new second runway and associated works including new fire stations and airfield ground lighting.
Key role objective
The principal function of this position is:
Reporting to the Assistant Resident Engineer (AGL) you will be responsible for supervision of the Contractors works associated with upgrading of the taxiway ground lighting on the existing airfield.
Key areas of responsibility
The priorities of this role include:
- An ability to ensure that works are constructed in accordance with the design and contract documentation
- An ability to communicate clearly in English with Contractor's staff.
Key requirements
The ideal candidate should possess and be able to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge. These points should align with the key areas of responsibility:
- AGL installation/ maintenance and design background (minimum 5 years)
- Experience in working on live airports would be an advantage but not essential
Minimum qualifications
A relevant professional qualification will be an advantage; however this is not essential if experience beyond the minimum qualifies the individual for the role.
