Directions

City Park is located at 368 Alexandra Parade, on the east side of Glasgow and is well connected to the city centre by bus, train and taxi services.

Travelling to City Park by car:

Eastbound on the M8 from the city centre:

Exit the motorway at Junction 15 (the A803 exit) sign posted ‘Cathedral / Glasgow Cross’. This junction peels off from the right hand side of the carriageway. Take up a position in the right hand lane as soon as it is safe to do so after passing Junction 14.
The motorway slip lane merges with Springburn Road on your left hand side. Immediately move into the left hand lane and turn left at the traffic lights onto Castle Street / A8. You’ll see the Glasgow Royal Infirmary on your right.
Go straight on at the next set of traffic lights onto Alexandra Parade. (The left hand lane here turns into a bus lane shortly after the lights - be prepared to move into the right hand lane).
Continue forward for approximately 400 yards - City Park is on the right.

Westbound on the M8 towards the city centre:

Leave the M8 at Junction 15 (the A803 exit) sign posted ‘Kirkintilloch’.
Turn left at the traffic lights at the end of the slip road (onto Castle Street / A803) and immediately left again at the next traffic lights onto Alexandra Parade.
Continue forward for approximately 400 yards - City Park is on the right.

Finding us in City Park:

We are located on the third floor of City Park. On entering the building through the front doors, walk past the City Park reception desk and take the first set of lifts on the right hand side, up to the third floor. The lift doors will open behind you - Our reception is on the right.

Travelling to City Park by train:

Glasgow Central Station:

Trains from the south arrive at Central station.
There are taxis readily available at the rank in front of the station. Allow for a 15 minute taxi ride to City Park.
Alternatively, the number the number 38, 38a, 38b, 42a bus services leave Glasgow Central station for City Park approximately every 10 minutes. Ask for a fare to City Park on Alexandra Parade.
The bus stop is located on Hope Street outside the Toby Jug pub. Take the Hope Street exit (to the left of the main exit) from the station.
Allow for a 15 minute bus journey.

Glasgow Queen Street Station:

A regular service from Edinburgh Waverly via Falkirk, arrives into Queen Street station every 15 minutes during peak periods.
There are taxis readily available at the rank in front of the station. Allow for a 10 minute taxi ride to City Park.
Alternatively, the number the number 36, 38, 38b, 42, 213 bus leave Glasgow Queen Street station for City Park approximately every 10 minutes. Ask for a fare to City Park on Alexandra Parade
The bus stop is located outside the front of the station on West George Street (take the George Square exit from the station).
Allow for a 10 minute bus journey.

A taxi from Glasgow International Airport to City Park will cost roughly £20 and take around 30 minutes.

To City Park by car from Glasgow International Airport:

Join the M8 eastbound at Junction 28 and follow the directions at the top of this page.
Allow for a 30 minute (8 mile) drive.

To City Park by bus from Glasgow International Airport:

Buses to Buchanan Street bus station in the city centre, depart from the front of the terminal building every 10 minutes. The 500 service is one of these
The journey time to the city centre is approximately 25 minutes.
The number 213 bus leaves Buchanan Street bus station for City Park every 20 minutes.
The number 36 bus leaves Buchanan Street bus station (Stance 40) for City Park every 20 minutes.
Allow for a 15 minute bus journey time.
Alternatively, there is a taxi rank next to the bus station. From there City Park is a 10 minute journey.
As a guide allow an hour when travelling from the airport to City Park by bus.
