Directions

By car:

From the South:

	proceed up the A1(M) or the M
	shortly after they merge take the exit signed A64
	follow the Slip road to the right and cross under the A1(M)
	join the A64 and proceed towards York
	follow directions from the West

From the west:

	proceed along the A64
	stay in the left-hand lane when approaching traffic lights at Copmanthorpe
	take the exit signed to York Centre immediately after the traffic lights (A1036)
	turn left at the next traffic lights
	continue straight on over the next roundabout
	proceed straight on past the racecourse
	there is a set of traffic lights with a large stone gate house from the city walls
	turn left at these traffic lights and follow the road round past the station
	filter into the right-hand lane and pass through the pedestrian lights
	go straight on through the next set of traffic lights and filter into the left-hand lane
	go through the city walls gate and cross the bridge

From the east:

	proceed along the A1079
	there is a set of traffic lights with a large stone gate house from the city walls
	turn left at these traffic lights and follow the road round past the station
	filter into the right hand lane
	proceed straight on through the next set of traffic lights and pass the Barbican Centre on the left
	the road bears left at the set of pedestrian lights
	get into the middle lane as the road splits to go straight on and right
	bear right and double back on yourself
	again stay in the middle lane as the road splits to the right and straight on
	go straight on and bear right through the traffic lights
	go past Cliffords Tower on the right hand side
	follow the road round to the left and over the bridge
	proceed straight on through the set of traffic lights and right at the next set
	at the traffic lights bear left and filter into the right hand lane and cross through the city walls
	at the traffic lights turn right and filter into the left-hand lane
	pass through the city walls gate and cross the bridge

From the north:

	follow the A19
	there is a set of traffic lights with a large stone gate house from the city walls
	turn left at these traffic lights and follow the road round past the station
	pass the Theatre Royal on the left hand side
	at the next set of traffic lights turn right
	the office is situated on the left-hand side on Lendal, above the post office

Parking

	there is very limited parking at the office
	it is also situated in a Pedestrianised Zone with limited access times
	a better solution is to use one of the car parks in the city centre
	or use the park and ride bus service from the A64 west approach, the A19 north approach or the A1079
	there is a 10-minute service direct to the city centre
	The office is a 5-minute walk from the bus stop

By bus:

	take any bus to the city centre and get off at Rougier Street
	you will see the city walls at one end of this road
	head in this direction and turn right at the end and cross the bridge

By train:

	come out of the Station and turn left
	follow the road on the left hand side as it passes under the city walls
	continue over the bridge
	turn right into Lendal, office above the post office

By aeroplane:

	Manchester and Leeds Bradford are our closest airports
	there is a regular train service from Manchester Airport to York
	from Leeds airport a bus can be taken to Leeds city train station where there is a 15-minute service to York

or take a taxi which will cost in the region of £35 each way to York
