Halcrow achieves certification for its Environmental Management System
Halcrow has been awarded the internationally recognised ISO 14001 certification for its Environmental Management System (EMS).
The certification process took a year to achieve, culminating in an intensive audit by BM TRADA, Halcrow's certification body, and witnessed by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS). The scope of the certification covers the services provided by Halcrow Group Limited’s water and utilities, property, consulting and transport businesses including all of its UK offices.
Chief executive Peter Gammie congratulated the team and said, "This achievement is invaluable and puts us in a much stronger position when bidding for work. It demonstrates to our clients and potential clients the importance we place on environmental considerations.”
John Walton, auditor for Halcrow's certification body BM TRADA, commented: "The approach to the EMS is based on performance which is amply supported by considerable and extensive levels of competence, experience and a track record of market leadership."
