Halcrow appoints director for development
Halcrow has announced the appointment of Edinburgh-based Rick Finc as the company’s new resource director for development planning in the UK.
Rick, who is a certified chartered town planner and urban economist, has worked within Halcrow’s consulting business for over four years. He joined the company from the city development department of Edinburgh City Council.
As a director, Rick will be providing support and guidance to Halcrow’s planning and consulting teams and regional managers. Working closely with the market sector director, he will be responsible for developing the profile of Halcrow’s UK development planning business.
Rick’s additional responsibilities involve implementing key aspects of the company’s management and training plan as well as a resourcing strategy to further heighten the profile of Halcrow within the development consulting sector. He will continue to be based in Edinburgh but will be working with parts of the company to achieve a multi-disciplinary approach.
Neil Holt, group board director, said: “Rick’s appointment is an ongoing endorsement of the value of the development planning team to Halcrow. In his four years with the company, Rick has consistently demonstrated his capability for this role and we are confident that he will continue to develop his skills in line with Halcrow’s business and client objectives”.
