Halcrow takes part in green travel day

Halcrow blueprints build bridge to pastOn Wednesday 10 August, Halcrow’s Bristol office took part in a sustainable travel day to help reduce the number of unnecessary single occupancy car journeys by commuters.

To highlight the launch of their travel plan, Halcrow employees based at Regent Street in Clifton found alternative ways to travel to work for the day. Employees travelled to work via car share, train, on foot and cycling.

Refreshments were available to them on arrival at the office.

Laura Thompstone, a transport planning consultant for Halcrow said: “As transport consultants who prepare travel plans for our clients, it only seems right to practice what we preach. After a full survey of our staff travel patterns, we are now launching our own plan. After employees arrived at work I gave a presentation detailing the plan and its purpose. The day was a great success”.
