Halcrow appoints principal waste consultant
Halcrow has announced the appointment of Glasgow-based Martin King as the company’s new principal waste consultant.
Martin has over forty years’ experience in the public and private sectors of the waste industry. He joins Halcrow from Shanks, where he held the position of business development manager for municipal contracts in Scotland.
In his new role Martin will provide an added dimension to the extensive resource of expertise present in Halcrow’s centre of excellence in waste management. His main responsibilities will be to develop Halcrow’s technical consultancy role with the public and private sectors in delivering and advising on long-term waste management strategies.
Mike Barr, director of waste management, welcomed Martin by saying: “Waste management has undergone rapid change in the last decade, with huge demands made of our clients in the public and private sector. Martin is an experienced pair of hands who will enhance the service we offer.”
Commenting on his appointment, Martin said: “Halcrow is an innovative and ambitious business with a strong vision, and I am delighted to have been appointed to this position. I look forward to working alongside the other members of the team in developing the services we can offer our clients.”
