Halcrow acquires HPA and Yolles
Halcrow has announced the acquisition of the Canadian structural engineering consultant Yolles Group and US-based maritime consultant HPA (formerly Han Padron Associates).
In two separate deals signed at the end of last year, the acquisitions are part of Halcrow’s strategy to develop its North American business – and to strengthen its skills in its key market areas.
The acquisition of Yolles brings new skills in building design and will strengthen the company’s existing property business. Based in Toronto and London, Yolles is one of the world’s most experienced structural and façade consultancies and specialises in the design of buildings across all major sectors.
HPA brings to Halcrow additional and complementary skills in all facets of maritime engineering to add to its existing marine expertise. Based in New York, with five other offices in the US, HPA specialises in port and marine terminal development, coastal planning and engineering, recreational and urban waterfront development, and marine military installations
