Halcrow receives Sharjah Excellence Award
Shaikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah honoured a number of companies with the "Sharjah Economic Excellence Award" earlier this month.
Halcrow, as one of Sharjah’s leading consulting firms was recognised under the “Professions Sector”.
The award ceremony was attended by Ahmed Mohammed Al Midfa - chairman of the board of Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other dignitaries.
Al Midfa said, "The Chamber extended several means of motivation and encouragement to private sector establishments and businessmen, mainly the Top Ten Exporters Award allocated to industrialists and traders in Sharjah since 1990. In 1995, the chamber extended the awards to recognise the success and excellence in investment. The Excellence awards have been created to honour the private economic establishments along with governmental departments in Sharjah, which extend distinctive services and demonstrate improved performance.”
John Heck, Halcrow’s regional director received the award on behalf of Halcrow, “We are delighted to have received this prestigious award. It recognises more than 40 years’ continuous professional service to Sharjah’s government. The award also acknowledges our commitment to the continuing development of the Emirate’s infrastructure, a fact of which we are all proud. Congratulations must go to all the Halcrow employees who have made this possible.”
A number of other leading organisations were recognised at the awards including the Sharjah Cooperative Society; National Cables Industry; Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank; Baby Shop, Part of Land Mark Group; the Sharjah Rotana Hotel; and the Sharjah National Travel and Tourist Agency.
