Halcrow to support fire engineering event

firefighter photo On 12 April 2005 the UK civil engineering magazine, NCE will host a conference called Developing the Role of Fire Engineering. It will be held at the Cavendish Conference Centre, London W1. This important conference will highlight the value of the fire engineer to the construction industry.

One of the speakers will be Halcrow’s Dr George Grant. A member of Halcrow’s fire safety team, Dr Grant specialises in fire safety engineering, tunnel ventilation and fire suppression systems. His addresses at the conference will cover reducing the risk and mitigating the damaging effects of fire in tunnels and underground spaces.

The conference will be an opportunity to network with civil engineers, structural engineers, fire safety engineers, architects, property developers and academics and presents an opportunity to exchange knowledge and discuss industry issues with your peers, competitors and future partners. The forum is an event for anyone with an interest in developing the role of fire engineering.
