Halcrow a key member of the Corridor Engineering Team, Texas
Interstate-35
The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has successfully let a comprehensive development agreement for a private sponsor to develop the transportation facilities along the I-35 corridor from the Mexican border north into Oklahoma.
Halcrow is a key member of the Corridor Engineering Team (CET) that advised TxDOT on the overall development agreement and is now helping to develop the individual facility agreements.
The team is currently developing technical requirements including highway operation and maintenance specifications for what will be the first 50-year toll road concession agreement to be developed in Texas. Halcrow brings international expertise to the team from their worldwide PPP experience working for both the public sector and private sector clients.
Interstate-69
In addition The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has awarded a commission for consultancy services, extending for up to 10 years, for development of the I-69 corridor.
The award, to a joint venture of Carter Burgess, Halcrow and Reynolds, Smith and Hills started in August 2006.
The corridor runs north east from the Mexican border up to the Louisiana border and TxDOT intends to enter into a public-private partnership to deliver the program. Halcrow will provide strategic procurement advice, corridor economic assessments, multimodal study advice and preliminary route identification studies in support of a Comprehensive Development Agreement which could be awarded by the end of 2007.
