Halcrow’s Oxfordshire transport planning contract extended

Oxfordshire County Council and Halcrow have signed a term contract for Halcrow to provide transport planning services to the County Council for a further five years.

Halcrow was awarded its first contract in 2002. This latest success will see the company working alongside Oxfordshire County Council until 2011.

Steve Howell, Head of Transport for Oxfordshire County Council, said: “we are delighted to re-appoint Halcrow. Their commitment over the past four years has been high. As part of the tender process we tested for any signs of complacency. We found Halcrow as keen as ever to work for Oxfordshire County Council.”

Tony van Emst, Halcrow’s executive director, comments: “Oxfordshire County Council is a key client for us and the level of commitment shown by our team over the last four years and throughout the tender process reflects this. We are looking forward to the challenges of the next five years, and, through our close working partnership, develop even better ways of working together.”
