New Trains Procurement Program, Victoria, Australia

Halcrow is pleased to have been awarded the role of Team Leader Engineering for the Victorian government's $1.5b new rolling-stock procurement program.

This win comes on the back of a six-year record of success in winning technical adviser roles in rolling-stock procurement projects in Australia. It further consolidates Halcrow's position as the leading Australian consultancy in passenger rolling-stock procurement projects.

Halcrow's initial role in this two-year appointment will be to support the production of business cases for the procurement of:

• new suburban trains
• new regional passenger trains
• new trams

Later stages of the work will include development of the procurement model, tender specifications and associated documentation and tender evaluation.
