Green transport plans
Initial data collection and scoping study
To develop a successful green transport plan existing travel patterns and attitudes to travel need to be established. Halcrow has collected data for a number of diverse clients with differing transport pressures to develop transport plans.
employee consultation and involvement
Those transport plans that have met their objectives, have done so because employees have been fully supportive and understood why change was needed. Those successful plans also fully involved employees, who suggested and developed many of the key aspects. Halcrow has considerable experience in helping organisations to consult with employees at all levels and in managing employee involvement.
external partnerships
To develop a green transport plan in isolation can be costly and time consuming. The resources required and costs incurred are greatly reduced if effective partnerships with external agencies are developed and maintained. Halcrow has an enviable track record in initiating, developing and maintaining partnerships with many diverse organisations to assist their clients in implementing successful transport programmes.
