Electrical - renewable energy

Social awareness regarding sustainability of the world’s resources is increasingly on the “up”. It has driven the need to reduce emissions and to protect the needs of our future to ensure our survival, more and more energy is being channelled into the development of renewable energy.

At Halcrow our engineers are always critically reviewing the methods we use to engineer solutions and whether a sustainable technology can be viably applied.

Our engineers have a wealth of experience in the development of energy from the renewable sources. This includes solar, wind and biomass technologies.

We also offer on a smaller scale renewable energy solutions for remote sites requiring small power supplies; in particular remote water utility sites.

These sites require power to supply instrumentation equipment or low powered radio equipment for the transmission of data from remote sites.

Incorporating a renewable power source can be far cheaper than installing a permanent main supply provided by the REC.
