Halcrow is recognised as the leading UK consultant in coastal engineering. Our expertise covers all aspects of work in the coastal zone, encompassing integrated coastal management commissions, coastal defence schemes, and coastal and offshore developments.

Halcrow places a high importance on establishing a fundamental understanding of processes and conditions when developing sustainable solutions. We have therefore invested heavily in our own wide range of numerical models and have developed other software tools that will assist Halcrow and our clients in managing/monitoring the terrestrial and marine environment.

In particular our SANDS software has been widely adopted by agencies in the UK and elsewhere in the world to handle, store and analyse data resulting from such organisation's monitoring programmes.
