Halcrow materials specialists have long association with working in desert conditions from Libya alongside the Mediterranean to Oman on the shores of the Indian Ocean.
Halcrow were at the forefront of the development of materials and concrete properties for these areas and contributed extensively to the 1984 CIRIA Guide to Concrete Construction in the Gulf Region and its successor the 2002 CIRIA / Concrete Society Guide to the Construction of Reinforced Concrete in the Arabian Peninsula.
