Halcrow power

The effective development and use of energy sources and associated infrastructure is essential to the global desire to promote and implement sustainable development.

True to this theme Halcrow's involvement in the power sector extends back over 50 years with a leading involvement in the development and implementation of hydro power across the world.

Our experience now extends through major fossil fuelled projects in the Middle East and Asia, to our establishment of a renewables team in 1979, and a leading role in a number of the major energy management initiatives in the past ten years.

Halcrow is a leading player in the nuclear industry, providing a comprehensive service for operational facilities, decommissioning and new build; for both civilian and military facilities.

Thus, along with the core infrastructure capability in civil, mechanical and electrical engineering, we provide leading-edge services for all aspects of power engineering, renewable energy, energy management and sustainable buildings, with a long-term corporate commitment to a low-carbon future.
