The Rail Engineering skill group provides specialist railway skills to a wide range of projects for Network Rail, London Underground, light rail and metro projects both in the UK and overseas.
It includes:

civil engineers with experience of railway structures such as stations,railway bridges and embankments |

track design engineers |
 |
signalling design engineers |
 |
rolling stock engineers (mechanical and electrical) |
 |
building services engineers (for stations and depots) |
 |
railway electrification engineers (power supply, overhead line and third rail) |
 |
railway system engineers who carry out an essential role on complex multi-disciplinary projects through capturing and tracking system requirements |
 |
multi-disciplinary railway project managers supported by a planning team |
Smaller projects are usually carried out within the Rail Engineering team, and larger projects are carried out with support from other skill groups, including bridges, building structures, architects, tunnels.
Our main team is in London, with signalling design being carried out in York and rolling stock work in Derby. We have a small team in Glasgow and overseas offices in Poland and Australia.
Most of our graduate vacancies are with our civil engineering team in London, where there are opportunities to work on major projects on Crossrail, London Underground, Network Rail and Docklands Light Railway, as well as gain experience in a wide range of civil engineering works.
