Over recent years, increasing global awareness of the consequences of climate change, as well as growing anxieties over energy security at the national level, have pushed renewables to the forefront of the political and corporate agenda. The need to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels, through investment in clean energy sources, is now widely recognised at an international level.

Halcrow firmly supports the Kyoto Protocol, and seeks to assist governments in meeting their targets for renewable energy generation. Formed in 1979, our renewables team has expanded to a pool of 80 UK staff that can provide technical expertise on clean technologies including solar power (photovoltaic and thermal), wind power (onshore and offshore), biomass, marine renewables and hydropower.

Halcrow provides a full suite of consultancy services in the renewable energy sector, spanning the entire project life cycle.
