Master planning involves the preparation of long term strategies for the development and use of available resources. These include the natural resources of water, land, energy and the environment
capital assets including dams, barrages, water treatment works, aqueducts, river training schemes and transportation networks.
Halcrow have developed sophisticated, world-class analytical tools and modelling software relating to all aspects of river basin catchment management. Our powerful mathematical modelling capability covers a wide range of systems, operation modelling and basic data compilation.
Halcrow has carried out studies in many large river basins throughout the world, for example Mekong, Nura-Ishim, Danube, Brahmaputra, Don, Tigris and Euphrates, Ganges, Indus, Rio Salado and the Thames.
