Halcrow have specific experience in capacity building and institutional strengthening in the water resources sector and have been involved recently in water reform and formation of river basin organisations in 43 countries.
While the Asian Development Bank (ADB) and World Bank have been developing their own water policies and strategies, they have also been supporting an increasing number of countries to formulate and develop their water policies and strategies. Consultation with and participation of all relevant stakeholders, in all water sectors, during the planning process is crucial for the sustainable development of water resources, which Halcrow has recognised and has included in their ADB and World Bank strategy projects.
Some of the services that Halcrow have provided during the formulation of water policies and strategies include:
 |
